Sean Montague

Presenter, Heart FM

Biography

Sean has recently been heard covering on Capital across the South Coast along with Heart Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

Sean was born and raised in Wiltshire before moving to the South Coast to study at Bournemouth University. Once there Sean was quick to join student radio and was an instrumental figure in its station, Nerve and helped with its recent success and accolades. In 2014, Sean was the first person in the station’s history to win a National Student Radio Award.

That year, Sean and co-host Emily Sandford won Gold for Best Entertainment Show plus Bronze for the prestigeous Kevin Greening Award for Outstanding Creativity. Their bold and distinctive entry wowed the judges as it ‘perfectly captured the life of the student audience in an honest, creative and clever way’.

Sean was offered a number of industry roles following his awards. Since then, alongside presenting on Capital South Coast he is also currently station producer for Heart in the West Country. He is a life-long Swindon Town fan, and in his own words is a ‘boyband connoisseur’… nobody is still quite sure what that means. A good quality steak and red wine is the best way to his heart!

Sean has a welcoming, relaxed style and he’ll always say the exact opposite of what you expect.
