Biography

Jon Hillcock is a brodcaster and DJ who also podcasts, writes and promotes live music.

Jon joined Xfm from university where he quickly grew a reputation as a trusted guide and champion of countless new bands, artists and emerging genres. From there he moved to NME Radio to continue his deep digging endeavour while also establishing new music podcasts New Noise and, subsequently All Back No Front.

Since 2011 Jon has become a regular voice at BBC Radio 6 Music having deputised across the schedule for the likes of Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne, Mary Anne Hobbs, Marc Riley, Gideon Coe, Tom Ravenscroft and more.

Jon is a regular contributor on Jo Whiley’s BBC Radio 2 show and hosts his own weekly new music panel review on Amazing Radio.

He has also written regular columns and articles for Clash, Q, NME among others
